George etc. To all etc. Know ye that for divers good causes and considerations
more especially for and in consideration of the Sum of Thirty Shillings of good
and lawful money for our use paid to our Receivor General of our Revenues in
this our Colony & Dom. of Virginia We have given granted and confirmed and
by these presents for us our heirs and Successors do give grant and confirm unto
Edward Bullock of Hanover Co. one certain tract or parcel of land containing
three hundred acres lying and being the upper Side of Beaver Dam Creek in the
County aforesaid and bounded as follows to wit. Beginning at a maple of Benjamin
Brown's running down the water course of the creek to Thomas Sharps corner white
oak on the Land thence along his line west one hundred sixty three poles to a
dead corner. South thirty west one hundred fifty six to corner of several marked
trees thence North twenty eight west two hundred fifty two poles to a black oak
in the said Browns line thence along this Line South eighty east one hundred
twenty eight poles to another black oak and north ninety eight poles to the
beginning. With all etc. To have hold etc. To be held etc. Yielding and paying
etc. Provided etc. In Witness etc. Witness our trusty and welbeloved Alexander
Spotswood our Lt. Governor etc. At Williamsburgh under the Seal of our Said
Colony the thirteenth day of November one thousand seven hundred and twenty one
in the eighth year of our Reign.
