George &c. To all &c. Know ye that for divers good Causes and
Considerations but more especially for and in Consideration of the Sum of fforty
Shillings of good and lawful money for our use paid to our Receivor General of
our Revenues in this our Colony and Dominion of Virginia We have given granted
and confirmed and by these presents for us our Heirs & Successours Do give
grant and confirm unto Edward Bullock of Hanover County one certain Tract or
parcel of Land containing ffour hundred Acres Lying & being in the ffork of
Licking hole Creek and the Little River in the County aforesd. and bounded as
followeth towit Beginning at the Mouth of the Said Creek running up the River by
the water Course and lying in a Strait Line Three hundred and Ten poles to a
Corner on the River Bank running into the Woods South Twenty Two West one
hundred and Twelve to a Spanish Oak, Thence South Twenty ffive East Two hundred
and Thirty Eight poles to a Corner Beech on the Said Creek Thence Down the Said
Creek making in a straight Line Three hundred and fforty ffour poles to the
beginning. With all &c. To have & hold &c. To be held &tc.
Yielding and paying &c. provided &c. In witness &c. Witness our
Trusty and Welbeloved Hugh Drysdale Esq. our Lieut. Gov'er at Williamsburgh
under the Seal of our Said Colony the ffifth day of September one Thousand Seven
hundred and Twenty Three in the Tenth Year of our Reign.
