This Indenture made the fourth
Day of June in the Year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred &
fifty four and in the twenty seventh year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord
George the second by the Grace of God King of Great Britain France & ireland
Defender of the Faith &c. Between George Morris and Mary Morris his Wife of
the County of Granville in the Province of North Carolina of the one part, and
Edward Bullock of the County of Hanover in Virginia of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said George Morris and Mary his Wife for Divers good causes
and considerations them thereunto moving but more Especially for the Valuable
sum of sixty pounds Current Money of Virginia to them in hand paid by the said
Edward Bullock the Receipt whereof they the sd. George & mary doth by these
presents acknowledge, and themselves to be therewith fully satisfied contented
and paid, hath fully Clearly and Absolutely acquited and Discharged the said
Edward Bullock and by these presents hath bargained sold aliened Enfeoffed and
confirmed and by these presents do bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm to him
the said Edward Bullock his heirs and Assigns forever one certain Tract of Land
Scituate and lying and being in the said County of Granville and between the
heads of Fishing Creek and Island Creeks Bounded as follows, to wit,
Beginning at a Red Oak on Wm. Meade Corner Runing thence East 50 Chains to a
White Oak thence N. 23 1/4 Chs. to a Wed. Oak thence 13/4 Chs. to a Wed. Oak
West Harris's Corner thence on his line No. 13. E. 58 Chs. to a Red Oak thence
N. 45 W. 23/4 Chs. to a Hickory William Morris Corner thence along his line W.
41/4 Chains to a Wed. Oak thence along Do. N. 20 Chs. to a Red Oak thence W. 40
3/4 to a Black Jack oak on Phill Walstons line thence So. 18 Chs. to a black
Jack his Corner thence along his line W. 56 3/4 Chanins to a Red Oak thence So.
67 Chs. to a stake in a Meadow near Mead line, thence along Mead's line N. 62 E.
58 Chains to a Meadow thence So. 31 E 55 Chains to the first station, containing
by Estimation one thousand and fifty Acres as by the Lord Proprietors Decd.
Granted to the said George Morris for the said Land Bearing Date the twenty
sixth Day of April last with the Plan thereof annext may more fully appear.
To have and tol hold the said Tract of Land with all and singular the Privileges
and Appertenances thereunto belonging or any ways appertaining to the said
Edward Bullock his heirs and Assigns forever to the only Proper Use and behoof
of him his heirs and assigns forever and the said George Morris and Mary his
Wife the said Land and Premisses with all and every the Privileges and
Appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said Edward Bullock his heirs and
assigns for ever against them the said George and Mary and their heirs and
assigns forever doth Warrant and forever Defend.

affixed their Seals the Day and Year first above Written.

At a Court held for Granville County the 4 June 1754. George Morris acknowledged
this Deed to be his Act and Deed and on Motion it was ordered to be Registered,
Previous to which Mary Wife of the sd. George (she being first privately
Examined according to Law) Relinquished her Right of Dower in the Land by this
Deed conveyed, which on Motion was also ordered to be Registered.
