Indenture 10 Nov 1827
This indenture made this 10th
day of November 1827 between John w. Bullock by his Guardian Edward Bullock of
the County of Mercer and State of Kentucky of the one part and William Berryman
of the County of Barren and State aforesaid of the other part.
Witnesseth that the parties of the first part have fore and in
consideration of the sum of six hundred Dollars to him in hand paid in –(?)--
bank paper bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain sell alien and
convey unto the sd William Berryman one certain tract or parcel of
land situate lying and being in the County of Barren and on the waters of Skaggs
Creek containing two hundred acres to be laid off on the low line of a survey of
750 acres and which has been conveyed by David Bullock to William G. Bullock,
Rawleigh Bullock and John w. Bullock and to begin at a birch tree standing on
the Bank of sd creek marked with the letters WGB thence S 60 W to a
white oak and dogwood corner to sd 750 acres survey thence S 63 E so
far that a line parallel to the low line of sd 750 acres survey will
include the quantity of two hundred acres aforesaid and the object is to set
apart and divide and lay off to sd William Berryman the aforesaid
quantity of two hundred acres of land which is conveyed to William G. Bullock
and Rawley Bullock to sd John W. Bullock by Deed bearing the date the
23rd day of August 1827 to have and to hold the tract of land hereby
conveyed to him the sd William Berryman and his heirs forever and the
sd John W. Bullock by his Guardian aforesaid doth defend the sd…
