George the Second etc. To all etc. Know ye that for divers good Causes and
Conside-rations but more Especially for and in Consideration of the Sum of Firty
Shillings of good and Lawful money for our use paid to our Receivor General of
our Revenues in this our Colony and Dominion of Virginia. We have given granted
and Confirmed and by these presents for us our Heirs and Successors do give
grant and Confirm unto Edward Bullock of Hanover County one Certain Tract or
parcel of Land Containing Four Hundred Acres Lying and being in the County
aforesaid Joyning on the Lines of Richard Bullock James Wade and Robert Sercey
and bounded as followeth (to wit) Beginning at Robert Sercey's Corner Shrubby
black ^oak running North fifteen Degrees East one Hundred and four poles to
Several Saplins on a Ridge thence North thirty Seven Degrees West one Hundred
and Seventy four poles to Several marked trees by a glade thence South Seventy
two Degrees West one Hundred and four poles to two Hickorys and a Red Oak by a
Glade thence South Fourteen Degrees West one Hundred and Twenty two poles to
Richard Bullocks Corner Red Oak White Oak and Pine thence along his Line South
Fourteen Degrees West Sixty poles to Several marked trees of James Wade's thence
along his Lines South three Degrees West one Hundred and Six poles to Several
marked trees thence South Eighty five Degrees East Ninety Nine pole to a Pine
Saplin thence South fifty Degrees East Eighty four poles to Robert Serceys
Corner ^two white Oaks in the North Fork of Hollowing Camp Creek and in the said
Wades Line thence along Sercey's Line North Twenty Six Degrees East one Hundred
and Forty Eight poles to the first Station. With all etc. To have hold etc. to
be held etc. Yielding and paying etc. Provided etc. In Witness etc. Witness our
Trusty and welbeloved William Gooch Esq. our Lieut. Governor & Commander in
Chief of our said Colony and Dominion at Williamsburgh under the Seal of our
said Colony the Sixth day of April one thousand Seven Hundred and Thirty Four.
